Jaunting Car Sculpture Workshop

Artist Kevin Killen has been commissioned to produce a Jaunting Car Sculpture based on Henry McNeill, who pioneered tourism in Larne in 19th century. 

Kevin worked with 8LR1 today during their Art lesson.  He told the pupils of his experience of being a full time working artist, the process of creating a sculpture and engaged with the students to include their input in the piece, to create a sense of ownership of the work. 

The Sculpture when finished will be positioned at The Roddens/Victoria Road junction in Larne and many pupils will pass it on their way to school each morning.
