F1 pupils give tips to Olderfleet Primary School
We were pleased to welcome 23 pupils from Olderfleet Primary School today who received some helpful tips for their F1 in Schools project.
The pupils received a presentation from sixth form pupils Bethany King and Leigh Pounder on what it was like to compete at the World Finals for F1 in Schools. Both pupils travelled to Malaysia in September 2017 to represent Northern Ireland against 48 other teams from all around the globe.
Robbie King then described to the pupils from Olderfleet what it was like to join the F1 in Schools club in Larne High School as a Year 8 pupil.
Next Ana Maria Dinu gave a wonderful talk on last year’s competition and gave the Olderfleet pupils some tips on how to present themselves to the judges.
The visiting pupils were also able to view the specialised equipment used in Larne High School for F1 in Schools and were given a drawing session with help from Jodi McCourt and Antonia Gwaspari.
We hope everyone enjoyed their visit and we wish them well with their competition!
